Timely storm season asbestos reminder

The Mackay Mercury has issued a timely reminder of the dangers lurking behind the walls of the average home. They have printed this alarming story of a young family who has been left homeless because Cyclone Debbie, which left asbestos exposed in their damaged unit. Most alarmingly, the couple and their two very young children lived among the exposed asbestos for two weeks, unaware of the danger until told by construction crews. We must beĀ ever vigilant, especially in Queensland as we start on the long summer storm and cyclone season. Thank you to the Mackay Mercury for bringing this story to our attention.
