NSW Dust Disease Support Scheme under review

The NSW Upper House is undertaking the first review of the state’s dust disease support laws for the first time since the Dust Diseases Authority was introduced in 2015. The Standing Committee on Law and Justice is looking at a number of care schemes, including those associated with the care of people suffering from asbestos related diseases.   Submissions close on April 23, 2017. Inquiry submission and contact details can be found in the NSW Government link below. The second link leads to a recent the Lakes Mail, Newcastle, report on the inquiry.
