New Chair and Deputy Chair

Congratulations to Phil Blair and Bianca Neve who have been elected Chair and Deputy Chair of the Asbestos Disease Support Society for the next 12 months.

Phil and Bianca replace Andrew Ramsay and Peter Close, who both did not seek re-election to their respective positions. Both Andrew and Peter will continue to serve as directors.

Phil is a current Director the Society and works with the CFMEU as an Asbestos Awareness Trainer, is qualified in A & B Class asbestos removal and is an A Class supervisor. He is passionate about eradicating asbestos in the building industry and stopping asbestos imported products coming into Australia.

Bianca is the Queensland Relationship Manager for Gordon Legal and has been a Director of the Society since in 2015. Bianca is a strong advocate on social justice and welfare issues and is committed to supporting asbestos related disease sufferers and lifting public awareness of the dangers of exposure to asbestos.

The Board also thanked Andrew and Peter for the leadership and commitment they demonstrated during their terms as Chair and Deputy Chair.
