Severe rain event brings new dangers

As the rain and severe weather event left behind by ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie inundates southern and western parts of Queensland, and heads to northern New South Wales, we have expanded our warning about the dangers of asbestos lurking in debris left behind from wind, rain and floods. When it is all over, teams of volunteers are expected to take to the streets to help with the clean-up and repairs. Please remember, deadly asbestos particles could be lurking in every pile of debris and rubbish. In the meantime, people, stay safe and dry.
