Senate Inquiry comes to Brisbane

The Senate Economics References Committee will hold a public hearing as part of its inquiry into non-conforming building products in Brisbane on Monday, 30 January 2017. This will include investigations into the importation of asbestos in Australia through the construction industry, an important topic given the recent incidences in Queensland and other states where asbestos materials have been found by workers on building sites. ADSS has made a submission to the inquiry and will be participating in the Brisbane hearing.

The hearing will be open to the public and held at the Royal on the Park Hotel, 152 Alice Street, Brisbane. It will likely be a full day hearing, although times are yet to be finalised. ADSS will update details on this website as they become available.
